Check out these filming spots and traffic closures for “Transformers 3.” The movie is shooting in town through Aug. 19.
>> 8 p.m. Thursday to 5 a.m. Monday: Michigan Avenue will be closed from Ontario Street to Wacker Drive. Stunts and effects (gunfire and explosions) take place Saturday and Sunday after 8 a.m. The production company will use the parking lot and balconies at the Tribune Tower, 435 N. Michigan Ave., during these days.
>> 8 p.m. Friday through 5 a.m. Monday: Lower Michigan Avenue will be closed from Lower Wacker Drive to Hubbard Street.
>> 7 to 10 a.m. Saturday and Sunday: Due to skydivers in the area, there will be periodic traffic control on Hubbard Street between Clark and State streets, Kinzie Street between Clark and State streets, Dearborn Street between Wacker Drive and Hubbard Street, State Street between Wacker Drive and Hubbard Street, and Wabash Avenue between Wacker Drive and Kinzie Street.
>> 9 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. July 22: Upper Wacker Drive (Michigan to Wabash Avenues) will be closed. Filming takes place at Bella Bacino’s at 75 E. Wacker Dr. restaurant Sunday through July 21 and Hotel 71, 71 E. Wacker Dr., July 19-21.
>> July 24-27, July 31, Aug. 1: Filming at 35 E. Wacker Drive will close portions of Wabash and Wacker.
>> July 27: Filming at Trump Tower, 401 N. Wabash Ave., will periodically close nearby streets…
